Ross reading the body before treatment
Services & modalities

A full toolkit.
Used with intention.

Ross doesn't work from a menu. He reads what your body is presenting and responds to what he finds — continuously, throughout your session.

Ross doesn't work from a menu. He reads what your body is presenting and draws from his toolkit based on what he finds — continuously, throughout your session. What follows is an overview of the modalities he works with and what each one does.

Dry needling being applied to the back

Dry Needling

Fine, sterile needles inserted into myofascial trigger points — areas of contracted muscle tissue that refer pain and restrict movement. Dry needling releases these trigger points directly, reducing pain, restoring range of motion and improving tissue quality.

Ross brings years of deep classical training in needling to every dry needling session — a level of precision and sensitivity that goes well beyond standard dry needling practice.

Cupping therapy on the back

Cupping

Traditional suction cups applied to the skin to lift soft tissue, release fascial restriction and improve circulation. Cupping reaches deeper layers of tissue than most hands-on techniques and leaves clients with a noticeable sense of release and lightness.

Good to know: the marks left by cupping are not bruises — they reflect the degree of stagnation in the tissue and typically fade within a few days.

Moxa being lit for heat therapy

Moxibustion & Heat

Traditional heat therapy, applied by warming dried mugwort close to the skin over specific areas of the body. The warmth penetrates gradually and comfortably, supporting circulation, easing stiffness and helping tight tissue soften before and alongside other hands-on work.

Good to know: moxibustion is particularly useful where pain or stiffness feels worse in cold weather, or eases with heat. It's included as part of your session when Ross judges it will help — never a separate charge.

Hot roller being worked along the back

Hot Roller

A heated roller applied with rolling pressure along the body — combining the benefits of heat therapy and manual pressure in one continuous movement.

Ross's clients consistently describe the hot roller as the highlight of their session. It is deeply relaxing, surprisingly effective, and unlike anything most people have experienced in a treatment room.

Tui Na massage, two hands placed on the torso

Tui Na Massage

Therapeutic soft tissue work integrated throughout every session — not offered as a standalone add-on. Ross works the soft tissue continuously alongside every other modality, reading how the body responds and adjusting his approach based on what he finds.

The result is something that feels like a genuinely holistic treatment rather than a sequence of separate techniques.

Acutonics tuning forks applied to points on the body

Acutonics Sound Therapy

Precision-calibrated tuning forks activated and applied to specific points on the body. Sound has been used therapeutically across cultures for thousands of years — Acutonics is a modern system that maps specific frequencies to specific physiological functions.

The forks transmit vibration directly into the tissue, creating a response that clients often describe as deeply settling.

Infrared heat therapy session
Optional add-on

Infrared Therapy

Far-infrared heat penetrates significantly deeper into tissue than conventional heat — reaching muscle, fascia and joint structures rather than just warming the surface. Infrared supports circulation, eases deep muscular tension and accelerates the body's natural recovery processes.

Note: available as an enhancement to any session — let Ross know if you'd like it included.

Nu Wave PEMF

with Becky Murray

PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) therapy delivers low-frequency electromagnetic pulses deep into the body's tissues — stimulating cellular energy production, reducing inflammation, improving circulation and supporting the nervous system. It has been used in clinical settings for decades and is one of the most researched complementary therapies available.

Conditions PEMF can help include chronic pain, inflammation, fatigue, sleep difficulties, joint problems, nerve pain, stress and anxiety, and recovery from injury or surgery. It works particularly well as an adjunct to manual therapy — addressing the cellular and energetic environment that hands-on work operates within.

Becky Murray offers PEMF therapy from Soul Song Temple on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Ross and Becky often recommend clients experience both, because the two work quite differently — manual therapy addresses tissue, tension and movement directly through the hands, while PEMF works at the cellular level without physical manipulation. They complement each other precisely because they do different jobs.
