A PEMF session underway at ENKI Wellness, the applicator resting on the forearm
PEMF Therapy · Nambour QLD

The body runs on electricity.
PEMF speaks its language.

Gentle electromagnetic pulses that may support recovery, circulation and deep rest — fully clothed, non-invasive, and a session in its own right.

A separate, standalone session. PEMF is not included in Ross's manual therapy sessions and is booked and paid for on its own. Sessions with Ross run on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays are with Becky Murray at Nu Wave PEMF, in the same room at Soul Song Temple.

What is PEMF?

Every cell in your body communicates through tiny electrical signals. Pulsed Electromagnetic Field therapy, or PEMF, works with that signalling. A solid-state device sends low-frequency electromagnetic pulses through clothing and into the tissues beneath, in the same gentle frequency range the body already uses.

There are no needles, no pressure and no heat. You stay fully clothed, settle into the chair or onto the table, and let the pulse do its work. Many people find it one of the most restful hours of their week.

Ross uses the Pulse XL Pro, a solid-state PEMF system. Strength, pulse rate and field are tuned to what your body needs on the day.

Four ways PEMF may support the body

  1. I

    Cellular energy

The pulses work in the same low-frequency range as the body's own signalling, which may support cellular energy and repair.

  2. II

    Circulation

PEMF may support blood flow and oxygenation, helping nutrients reach tissue and waste move out.

  3. III

    Inflammation

It may support the body's own anti-inflammatory response, which is why many people use it for pain and recovery.

  4. IV

    The nervous system

The steady rhythm of the pulse often helps the body shift out of fight-or-flight and into rest and recovery.

Simple, gentle, and deeply restful

Before you begin
Ross talks with you about what's brought you in and explains what to expect.
Setting up
You stay fully clothed, seated in the chair or lying down. Applicators are placed where they're needed, and the intensity is set to a level that feels comfortable. You can ask for it to be adjusted at any time.
During
Most people feel a gentle, rhythmic tapping that soon becomes deeply relaxing. Some like to talk. Many simply rest, and some fall asleep.
Length
45 or 60 minutes.
How often
The effects of PEMF build over time. For a specific issue, twice a week over a course of sessions is generally recommended — which is what the 5 and 10 packs are designed for.

What PEMF may support

Resting in the chair while the PEMF applicator works, at Soul Song Temple

Two approaches. One body.

Ross's manual therapy works through the hands — dry needling, cupping, massage, the hot roller and sound. PEMF works at a different level, supporting the cellular and nervous-system environment that hands-on work depends on.

They are separate sessions, but they sit naturally together. Some clients book PEMF on the same day as a manual therapy session. Others use a pack of PEMF sessions between hands-on treatments to keep their recovery moving. If you're not sure what would suit you best, ask Ross — he'll give you an honest answer.
